Frakkian

Frakkian is a fictional language and the associated ethnic group name used in speculative fiction and role-playing contexts. The term appears across multiple works and media in which the Frakkian are depicted as a maritime, trade-oriented society or as inhabitants of the northern archipelago. Because Frakkian is a constructed language (conlang) created for narrative purposes, there is no single canonical grammar; different authors and game designers have presented competing descriptions.

Within published materials, Frakkian is described as an agglutinative language with SOV (subject–object–verb) order and extensive affixation for tense, aspect, and mood. Nouns inflect for number and case; pronouns have clitics; adjectives follow nouns. The phonology typically includes a moderate set of consonants and a five-vowel system; stress is usually penultimate. Some dialects preserve consonant clusters and vowel harmony features.

Frakkian writing uses a Latin-based alphabet in most modern texts, with diacritics to mark vowel quality and stress. Historical materials describe an older rune-based script used for ceremonial purposes. Dialects such as Northern Frakkian and Southern Frakkian appear in different works, with some phonetic shifts and lexical differences.
