Fractionálás

Fractionálás is a term that can refer to several different processes, depending on the context. In chemistry, fractional distillation is a separation technique used to separate components of a liquid mixture by selective boiling and condensation. This method is particularly useful when the components have boiling points that are close to each other. The process involves heating the mixture in a distillation flask, and the vapor that rises is passed through a fractionating column. This column is designed to provide a large surface area, often through packing or trays, which allows for repeated vaporization and condensation cycles. As the vapor moves up the column, it cools and condenses, and then re-vaporizes. Each vaporization-condensation cycle enriches the vapor in the more volatile component. The less volatile components condense and flow back down the column. The vapor that eventually reaches the top of the column is then condensed and collected as the purified component.

In a broader sense, fractionálás can also refer to the act of dividing or separating something into fractions or parts. This could apply to financial markets, where a company's stock may be fractionally owned, meaning that investors can buy and sell less than a full share. Similarly, in land management, fractionálás might describe the division of a property into smaller parcels.
