Power amplifier stages are designed to handle significant power levels efficiently, often employing complementary transistor pairs to provide high current and voltage output. Each stage may employ different types of transistors (e.g., Bipolar Junction Transistors or Field-Effect Transistors) and circuit topologies (e.g., common-emitter, common-collector, common-base) depending on the specific requirements of gain, impedance matching, bandwidth, and power handling.
