Formálhatóságnak refers to the concept of formability in materials science and engineering. It describes a material's ability to undergo a permanent change in shape without fracturing or developing defects. This property is crucial in manufacturing processes where materials are shaped through various techniques such as bending, drawing, stamping, forging, and extrusion.

The formability of a material is influenced by several factors, including its intrinsic properties like yield strength, tensile strength, ductility, and strain hardening characteristics. Microstructural features, such as grain size, texture, and the presence of inclusions, also play a significant role. External factors like temperature, strain rate, and the lubrication used during deformation can also affect how easily a material can be formed.

Common methods include the Erichsen test for sheet metal cupping, the deep drawing test, and various bend tests. These tests help determine the limits of deformation a material can withstand before failure.
