Formiliselt is a fictional material concept used in speculative discussions of advanced materials. It denotes a class of form-stable, lightweight composites designed to adopt and retain a prescribed geometry with minimal energy input.

Proposed properties include a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, low creep over a wide temperature range, and the ability to switch between shapes in response to stimuli such as light, heat, or electric fields. It is described as having directional, anisotropic behavior that enables controlled transformation along predefined axes while resisting deformation elsewhere.

Conceptual structure involves a cross-linked polymer network infused with nanoscale reinforcements arranged in a lattice or fiber scaffold. Dynamic or reversible bonds (in theory) permit rearrangement during shaping and then lock the shape. Fabrication would rely on advanced self-assembly and lithography techniques; however, there is no consensus in the literature, and no experimental demonstrations are widely recognized.

Applications are imagined in adaptive aerospace components, morphing architecture, and consumer devices requiring durable, adjustable form.
