Flänsiliitosten
Flänsiliitosten, often translated as flanged joints, are a common method for connecting pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment in industrial and mechanical systems. They consist of three main components: flanges, gaskets, and fasteners. A flange is a projecting rim or edge, typically attached to the end of a pipe or fitting, designed to provide a means of connection to another flange. Gaskets are sealing elements placed between the mating flange faces to create a leak-proof seal. Fasteners, usually bolts and nuts, are used to draw the flanges together and compress the gasket, creating the required sealing pressure.
The primary advantage of flanged joints is their ease of assembly and disassembly. This allows for maintenance,
