Fluorujcym

Fluorujcym is the instrumental singular form of the Polish present participle fluorujący, used as an adjective or noun to describe a process, reagent, or agent that performs fluorination—the introduction of fluorine atoms into a molecule. In scientific writing, fluorujcym can function in phrases such as reacja fluorującym reagentem (the reaction with a fluorinating reagent) or with a fluorujcym związek (a fluorinated compound).

Fluorination is a class of chemical reactions that introduces fluorine into organic or inorganic substrates. There are several main approaches:

- Electrophilic fluorination, which uses electrophilic fluorinating reagents such as Selectfluor or NFSI to add fluorine to electron-rich sites.

Safety and handling are important, as many fluorinating agents are highly reactive, corrosive, or toxic. Reactions typically require appropriate facilities, ventilation, and protective measures to manage hazards and prevent the release of fluorinated byproducts.
