Fluoroszkópiás refers to a medical imaging procedure that uses X-rays to obtain real-time moving images of internal structures. This technique allows healthcare professionals to visualize the movement of organs, blood flow, or the passage of contrast agents through the body.

The process involves an X-ray source and an image intensifier or digital detector. The X-rays pass through the patient's body, and the transmitted radiation creates an image on the detector. This image is then displayed on a monitor, allowing for continuous observation. Unlike standard X-rays which produce static images, fluoroscopy provides a dynamic view.

Fluoroszkópiás examinations are employed in a variety of medical specialties. They are frequently used in cardiology to guide procedures like angioplasty and stent placement, in gastroenterology to study the digestive tract, and in orthopedics to assess bone alignment during fracture reduction or joint replacement surgery. It is also utilized in interventional radiology for minimally invasive treatments.

While valuable for diagnosis and treatment, fluoroscopy exposes patients and staff to ionizing radiation. Modern fluoroscopy systems are designed to minimize radiation dose through techniques like pulsed fluoroscopy and low-dose settings. The duration of the examination is also a key factor in radiation exposure. The images produced are typically of lower resolution than static X-rays to reduce radiation.
