Fluid Film is a brand of rust and corrosion protection products known for a lanolin-based protective film that forms a waxy, oily coating on metal surfaces. The film displaces moisture and creates a barrier against water, salt, and oxidation, helping slow rust formation in joints, crevices, and other hard-to-coat areas.

The product is used on automotive underbodies, hinges, cables, and other exposed metal parts; it is also employed in marine, agricultural, and industrial settings to protect equipment, tools, and fasteners. It is popular for winterization of vehicles in cold climates and for preventative maintenance of aging infrastructure.

Application typically involves spraying, brushing, or dipping cleaned, dry surfaces. Surfaces should be prepared according to label directions, and the coating should be allowed to dry before exposure to moisture. Reapplication intervals vary with climate and exposure and may range from several months to once per year.

Advantages include a long-lasting protective barrier, moisture displacement, penetration into seams and crevices, and relatively easy removal with detergents or solvents.
