Flipprojekt is a term commonly used in the real estate investment community, particularly in North America, to describe a specific strategy of property acquisition and renovation. The core idea behind a flipprojekt is to purchase a distressed or undervalued property, renovate it to increase its market value, and then sell it quickly for a profit. This process is often referred to as "house flipping" in English-speaking contexts.

The acquisition phase of a flipprojekt typically involves identifying properties that are priced below market value due to factors such as poor condition, lack of updates, or the seller's urgent need for a quick sale. Investors may find these properties through various channels, including real estate auctions, foreclosures, or direct outreach to owners of neglected homes. Once acquired, the property undergoes a renovation or remodeling process. This can range from minor cosmetic upgrades like painting and landscaping to more extensive structural work, kitchen and bathroom overhauls, or additions.
