Fincantieri S.p.A. is an Italian multinational shipbuilding company and one of the largest shipyards in the world. Headquartered in Trieste, it designs, constructs, maintains, and services ships for naval and civilian markets. The group builds cruise ships and ferries for international operators and develops military vessels, including frigates and patrol ships, for national navies and allied customers. It provides integrated solutions spanning hull construction, systems integration, and post-delivery support.

Fincantieri traces its origins to Cantieri Navali Italiani (CNI), established in the early 20th century. Through a process of mergers, restructurings, and expansion in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the company consolidated Italy's major shipyards under the Fincantieri banner. The group broadened its global reach by acquiring VARD, a Norwegian ship design and shipyard group, and by creating a U.S. presence through the Fincantieri Marine Group.

It operates a network of Italian shipyards along the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts, including Monfalcone, Castellammare di Stabia, Muggiano, Riva Trigoso, Sestri Ponente, and Ancona.
