Festetics
Festetics is the name of a Hungarian noble family that rose to prominence in the 17th and 18th centuries. The family built extensive estates in Transdanubia, notably around Keszthely on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, where they established the Festetics Palace. Through the 18th and 19th centuries, the Festetics were among the leading landowners in the Kingdom of Hungary and acted as patrons of culture, science, and regional development.
