Fertiliseerimise

Fertiliseerimise is the Estonian term for fertilization, a crucial process in both agriculture and horticulture. It involves the introduction of nutrients into the soil to support plant growth. Plants require a balanced supply of macronutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as micronutrients like iron, manganese, and zinc, for optimal development, flowering, and fruiting.

There are several methods of fertiliseerimise. Organic fertilizers, derived from natural sources like compost, manure, or bone meal, release nutrients slowly and improve soil structure over time. Synthetic fertilizers, on the other hand, are chemically manufactured and provide nutrients in a readily available form, often leading to quicker results.
