Fenty

Fenty is a surname of Caribbean origin and is most widely recognized as part of the name of Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the Barbadian singer and businesswoman who performs publicly as Rihanna. The name has been used for several business ventures associated with Rihanna’s brand, including cosmetics and fashion.

Fenty Beauty, a cosmetics line, was launched in 2017 in partnership with LVMH’s beauty division and distributed through Sephora. It drew attention for its extensive inclusive shade range intended to cover a wide spectrum of skin tones and for products such as the Pro Filt’r Foundation. The brand expanded to additional makeup categories and later introduced skincare products under the Fenty umbrella.

Fenty Skin, the skincare line, was launched in 2020 as part of Rihanna’s Fenty brand family, focusing on simple, inclusive skincare products and a streamlined routine.

Fenty, the fashion house, was announced in 2019 as a collaboration between Rihanna and LVMH to create haute couture and luxury fashion. In 2021, LVMH announced that it would pause operations for the Fenty fashion house, a decision related to strategic restructuring during the pandemic. Rihanna retains ownership of the Fenty brand name for her beauty ventures, while the status of the fashion house has remained paused.
