Feldspire is a fortified town in the highlands of the duchy of Northreach. It centers on a towering limestone spire that dominates the landscape, giving the settlement its name. The town is built in ascending terraces around the spire, with an agricultural hinterland to the east and a river to the west. The Feldrun River provides water for mills and supports trade with nearby markets.

The town expanded through the medieval era and endured later sieges, after which it reestablished markets and crafts to serve regional needs.

Economy in Feldspire is sustained by agriculture (grain and apples), timber from surrounding forests, and small-scale feldspar mining in nearby quarries. Local artisans produce tools, glass, and pottery, while the market cluster at the spire’s base serves farmers, traders, and visitors from the hinterlands. The town maintains a simple, resilient economy focused on self-sufficiency and regional exchange.

Governance is provided by a mayor and a town council drawn from guilds and landowners. A regional magistrate oversees legal matters and ordinances, with representatives elected to address security and infrastructure needs.

Landmarks include the Feldspire Tower, integrated into the fortified complex at the spire’s core, and the surrounding terraces that host residences and workshops. The annual Harvest Spire Festival celebrates crops, crafts, and communal life, featuring processions, music, and markets. Local legend describes a wind-woken chamber within the spire, though access remains restricted. The population is approximately 2,400 residents.
