Fegyverreakciók

Fegyverreakciók, a Hungarian term, translates to "weapon reactions" or "firearm reactions" in English. This refers to the observable effects and responses that occur when a firearm is discharged. These reactions encompass a range of physical phenomena, both internal to the firearm and external to the projectile and its interaction with the environment.

Internally, the rapid combustion of gunpowder within the cartridge case creates high-pressure gases. This pressure propels the bullet down the barrel and simultaneously generates recoil, the backward force felt by the shooter. The firearm also experiences muzzle blast, a release of hot gases and unburned powder particles from the muzzle. Flame or muzzle flash is a common visual manifestation of this, especially in low light conditions.

Externally, the projectile travels through the air, influenced by factors such as its velocity, mass, and aerodynamic design. Upon impact with a target, further reactions occur. These can include penetration, fragmentation, or deformation of the projectile, as well as the transfer of kinetic energy to the target, causing damage. The sound of the gunshot, a distinct acoustic wave, is another significant reaction that propagates through the air.
