Feasibiliteetin

Feasibiliteetin, often translated as feasibility study, is a systematic process of evaluating the practicality and viability of a proposed project, idea, or venture. The core purpose is to determine whether a project is likely to succeed before significant resources are committed. This involves a comprehensive analysis across various dimensions, including technical, economic, legal, operational, and scheduling aspects, often referred to by the acronym TELOS.

A technical feasibility assessment examines whether the necessary technology and expertise are available and can be effectively implemented to achieve the project's objectives. Economic feasibility, or cost-benefit analysis, evaluates the financial costs against the anticipated benefits, determining if the project is financially sound and offers a positive return on investment. Legal feasibility investigates whether the project complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Operational feasibility assesses whether the proposed solution can be integrated into existing organizational processes and if the organization has the capacity and resources to manage it effectively. Finally, scheduling feasibility determines if the project can be completed within a realistic and acceptable timeframe.

The findings of a feasibility study are crucial for decision-making. They provide stakeholders with objective information to decide whether to proceed with the project, modify it, or abandon it altogether. This proactive approach helps mitigate risks, optimize resource allocation, and increase the overall likelihood of project success by identifying potential challenges and opportunities early in the development lifecycle.
