Faktureret

Faktureret is a Danish term used as the past participle of the verb fakturere, meaning to invoice. It denotes that an invoice has been issued to a customer. In practice, faktureret describes the status of a transaction after goods or services have been delivered and an invoice has been created, but before payment has necessarily been received. In accounting, a billed revenue is often recorded as a receivable while the customer’s payment remains outstanding until paid.

Invoices typically contain mandatory information under Danish VAT rules, such as seller and buyer, issue date, a unique invoice number, description of goods or services, amount, VAT amount, and payment terms. The term faktureret is commonly used in business correspondence, financial statements, and invoicing software to indicate the invoicing stage of a transaction. It is not a guarantee of payment and does not replace the legal status of debt collection.
