FRETtekniikoiden, or FRET techniques, refers to a group of biophysical methods that utilize Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) to study molecular interactions and conformational changes within biological systems. FRET is a non-radiative energy transfer process that occurs between two light-sensitive molecules called fluorophores. One fluorophore, the donor, absorbs excitation light and transfers energy to a second fluorophore, the acceptor, if they are in close proximity (typically 1-10 nanometers) and their spectral properties overlap.
