It is a professional designation awarded by the ACCA, a global body for professional accountants that originated in the United Kingdom and operates worldwide. The FCCA designation indicates a higher level of experience and professional achievement within the ACCA framework.

To attain FCCA status, an individual typically must already be an ACCA member (ACCA) and have accumulated substantial practical experience in a relevant accounting, finance, or business role. In addition to the experience requirements, fellows must meet ongoing professional development and ethical standards set by the ACCA.
