Függvénydeklaráció in programming refers to the process of defining a function. This involves specifying the function's name, its return type (if any), and the types and names of its parameters. A function declaration acts as a blueprint, informing the compiler or interpreter about the function's existence and its expected usage before the actual function body is defined. This allows for forward referencing, meaning a function can be called before its full definition appears in the code.

In languages like C or C++, a function declaration is often called a prototype. It typically includes the return type, the function name, and a comma-separated list of parameter types enclosed in parentheses. For example, `int add(int a, int b);` is a function declaration. The actual implementation, or definition, would follow with the function body: `int add(int a, int b) { return a + b; }`.

In other languages, such as JavaScript or Python, the distinction between declaration and definition is less pronounced. Declaring a function often involves defining it immediately. For instance, in JavaScript, `function greet(name) { console.log("Hello, " + name); }` both declares and defines the `greet` function. The core concept remains that of introducing a callable block of code to the program. Understanding function declarations is fundamental for structuring programs and managing code complexity.
