Eysturoy
Eysturoy, meaning east island in Faroese, is the second-largest island of the Faroe Islands archipelago, located in the North Atlantic as part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It lies to the east of Streymoy and is separated from it by the fjords Skálafjørður and Funningsfjørður. The interior is rugged, with a high central plateau and a number of peaks, including Slættaratindur, the highest point in the Faroe Islands at about 882 meters. The coastline features numerous fjords, bays, and small harbors, with settlements along the shores.
