Evrópa is the Icelandic name for the continent commonly known in English as Europe. It lies mainly in the northern hemisphere and, to some extent, in the eastern hemisphere. The eastern boundary is traditionally placed at the Ural Mountains, and the boundary with Asia is not universally agreed. In some definitions the Caucasus region is included in Europe, while others place it in Asia.
