Evading

Evading is the act of avoiding something from which a person or group would normally respond, such as a rule, duty, danger, or pursuit. It implies intentionality and an effort to prevent a specified outcome from occurring or to escape consequences.

In law and regulation, evading generally refers to attempts to defeat a required obligation. Tax evasion is the illegal act of concealing income or falsifying records to reduce tax liability.
