Eurythmics

Eurythmics were a British musical duo formed in London in 1980. The group consisted of Annie Lennox, a Scottish singer and songwriter, and Dave Stewart, an English musician and songwriter. They achieved worldwide fame in the 1980s, becoming one of the most successful and influential acts of the decade.

Their music blended pop, rock, and new wave influences, often characterized by Lennox's distinctive vocals and Stewart's innovative production. Eurythmics achieved significant commercial success with a string of hit singles and albums. Their breakthrough came with the 1983 album "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," which spawned the globally recognized title track. Other major hits include "Here Comes the Rain Again," "Would I Lie to You?," and "There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)."

Throughout their career, Eurythmics released eight studio albums, selling over 75 million records worldwide. They were known for their visually striking music videos, which often accompanied their innovative sound. The duo earned numerous awards, including Grammy Awards and Brit Awards, solidifying their place in popular music history. Eurythmics disbanded in 1989, though they reunited for a successful tour in 2019 and released their final album in 2005.
