Eurolight

Eurolight is a cooperative network of European railway infrastructure managers. Established in 2004, its primary aim is to foster international cooperation and the development of a more integrated European railway network. Eurolight facilitates communication and coordination among its members to address challenges related to cross-border rail operations, such as capacity management, timetable planning, and technical harmonisation. The organization supports the implementation of European Union rail policy and legislation, contributing to a more efficient and competitive railway sector.

Membership in Eurolight is open to railway infrastructure managers from countries participating in the European Union and those within the European Economic Area. The network serves as a platform for sharing best practices, exchanging information, and developing common strategies for improving international rail traffic. Eurolight actively participates in discussions and working groups related to the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS). By promoting interoperability and standardization, Eurolight seeks to reduce transit times and operational costs for international freight and passenger trains.
