EuroUS
EuroUS is a term used to describe a proposed or hypothetical framework for deeper integration between Europe and the United States across economic, political, and security domains. The term is not an official designation and there is no treaty establishing a EuroUS. Proponents envision a transatlantic bloc with harmonized standards, streamlined trade rules, shared regulatory governance, and coordinated foreign and defense policy. In practice, discussions have focused on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) proposed in the 2010s and the European Union–United States TEC (Transatlantic Economic Council) as steps toward closer alignment. TTIP aimed to reduce barriers and standardize regulations, while TEC provided a platform for high-level economic coordination but did not create a formal union.
