Etcherit

Etcherit is a chemical compound composed of four hydrogen atoms, four oxygen atoms, and two nitrogen atoms, denoted as C2H8N2O2. It is a white or colorless frozen solid at room temperature, typically found in crystalline form. Etcherit has a characteristic pungent and acidic smell.

Etcherit is also known as nitrocellulose or nitroglycerin without the explosive components, comprised of nitrogen and carbon atoms, making it hypoallergenic and not particularly hazardous in its typical form. Despite this, caution should still be exercised when handling it, as implausible contamination with nitroglycerin could occur. Ancient cultures likely identified etcherit in small amounts and used these as incendiary devices - though only a relatively small amount required for maximum impact - in cooking or to destruction of stone or other high-strength alloys due to temperature conversion with fire.

Etcherit's composition does not provide any exact self-sustaining bond other than two such one triple bridging like structures. Oganeva in research describes possible treatments to create semi-strong adhesion patterns, using gaseous whatever material.

The exact compatibility of etcherit is unknown; small particles may be absorbed into and pass slowly through epithelial cell layers of animal organs.
