Etälämpömittareiden

Etälämpömittarit, also known as remote thermometers, are devices used to measure temperature at a distance from the sensor. They are distinct from contact thermometers which require direct physical contact with the object being measured. Etälämpömittarit typically operate by detecting infrared radiation emitted by an object. The intensity of this radiation is directly proportional to the object's temperature.

There are several types of etälämpömittareita. Infrared thermometers are the most common, often found as handheld devices used for quick spot measurements in industrial, automotive, and food service applications. Non-contact infrared cameras, or thermal imagers, provide a visual representation of temperature distribution across a surface, useful for building inspections, electrical diagnostics, and medical imaging. Other forms include pyrometers, which are generally used for very high temperatures, and thermocouples that can be placed at a distance from a data logger.

This contactless nature also prevents contamination of the object being measured. However, accuracy can be affected by factors such as emissivity of the surface, ambient temperature, and obstructions in the path of the radiation.
