Esteva

Esteva refers to a genus of flowering plants in the rockrose family, Cistaceae. The genus comprises several species, most notably Cistus albidus, commonly known as white-leaved rockrose or gray-leaved cistus. These plants are native to the Mediterranean region, where they typically inhabit dry, rocky, or sandy soils. They are characterized by their shrubby growth habit and showy, often five-petaled flowers that can vary in color from white to pink and purple. The leaves of many Esteva species are ovate or lanceolate and often covered in a fine, grayish down, giving them a distinctive appearance.

Esteva plants are well-adapted to arid conditions, possessing adaptations such as deep root systems and a tolerance for drought and heat.
