Esteettömässä

Esteettömä is a Finnish word that translates to "accessible" or "barrier-free" in English. For digital content, it means websites and applications that are navigable with assistive technologies like screen readers, provide text alternatives for images, and have sufficient color contrast. Services are considered accessible when they are offered in formats that are understandable and usable by all, such as providing sign language interpreters or offering information in plain language.

The goal of making something "esteettömä" is to promote inclusion and equal participation in society.
