In popular culture, Eredar (capitalized) denotes a race of powerful demonic beings in Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft series. The Eredar are native to the planet Argus and are renowned for their arcane mastery. They were corrupted by the fallen titan Sargeras and became part of the Burning Legion. Among the most prominent Eredar are Kil’jaeden and Archimonde, who served as leaders within the Legion. A related group, the Draenei, consists of Eredar who refused Sargeras’s influence and, with aid from the naaru, fled Argus to seek refuge elsewhere, eventually arriving on Azeroth.

Beyond fiction, the term may appear as a surname or place name in real-world contexts, but such uses are rare and nonstandard. Overall, “eredar” lacks a single, widely accepted definition outside of specific contexts, making its meaning highly dependent on usage.
