Equatormost

Equatormost is a neologism used in geography and mathematical optimization to denote the point, location, or element within a defined domain that is closest to the equator in terms of absolute latitude. In geographic analysis, the equatormost point of a region is the location with the smallest absolute value of latitude, i.e., the point within the region having the shortest distance to the equator. The term can be used as a noun (the equatormost of the dataset) or as an adjective (an equatormost location).
