Ennuntiare is a term derived from Latin, meaning "to announce" or "to proclaim." In religious and theological contexts, particularly within Christianity, the word carries significant liturgical and doctrinal importance. It is most famously associated with the feast of the Annunciation, celebrated on March 25th in the Western Christian liturgical calendar. This feast commemorates the biblical account of the angel Gabriel’s announcement to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and bear Jesus, the Son of God, through the Holy Spirit.
