Engångständare

Engångständare, often translated as disposable lighters, are common portable devices used to generate a flame. They typically consist of a plastic casing containing a fuel source, usually butane, and a mechanism for ignition. The most prevalent design involves a flint wheel that, when struck against a metal striking surface, produces sparks that ignite the fuel. A lever or button releases the fuel and allows the sparks to create a flame. Once the fuel is depleted, the entire unit is discarded.

Their disposable nature eliminates the need for refilling or maintenance, making them a practical choice for casual use.
