Energiatõhusate

Energiatõhusate is an Estonian term used to describe devices, buildings, systems, and practices that require less energy to achieve the same level of performance or service compared with standard implementations.

The term combines energia (energy) with tõhus (efficient). It is most often used as an adjective, with 'Energiatõhusate' appearing in inflected forms to modify a plural noun in phrases such as energiatõhusate lahenduste or energiatõhusate seadmete.

In policy and labeling contexts, energiatõhusate solutions are promoted to reduce energy consumption, costs, and greenhouse gas emissions. European Union energy efficiency directives influence Estonia's building standards, energy performance certificates, and appliance energy labeling, shaping how products and buildings are classified and marketed as energy efficient.

Applications span households (energy-efficient appliances and heating systems), buildings (new constructions and renovations aiming for high energy performance), lighting and electrical systems, and transport (more efficient vehicles and infrastructure).
