Energiatárolókban refers to energy storage systems. These systems are crucial for balancing the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. Without effective storage, excess energy generated during peak production times would be wasted, and power would be unavailable when demand is high or generation is low.

Thermal energy storage captures heat or cold for later use. This can involve storing molten salt for concentrated solar power plants or using ice for cooling buildings. Flywheels store rotational kinetic energy in a spinning disc.
