Endoteliaalset refers to the endothelium, which is a type of simple squamous epithelium that lines the lumen of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels. It also forms the inner lining of the heart chambers. The endothelium is a critical component of the circulatory system, playing a vital role in maintaining vascular homeostasis and regulating blood flow.

The endothelium is not merely a passive barrier; it is a dynamic and metabolically active tissue.
