Endoplasmisessa is a term used in the field of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) research to describe the process of endoplasmic reticulum stress. This stress occurs when the ER is unable to maintain its normal function, leading to the accumulation of unfolded or misfolded proteins within the ER lumen. The ER is a critical organelle in eukaryotic cells, responsible for the synthesis, folding, and modification of proteins.
