Emocj

Emocj is a term used in digital communication studies to refer to a proposed standardized set of emotion tokens intended to convey affect in text. Conceptually similar to emoji, emocj aims to provide a platform-agnostic, semantically unambiguous set of symbols that can be rendered consistently across devices and applications.

The idea of emocj emerged in academic and design discussions in the early 2020s, prompted by concerns

Design and scope of emocj would center on a limited repertoire of fundamental affective categories, such as

Encoding and interoperability for emocj remain speculative. Since emocj is not a formal standard, it is not

Current status remains exploratory: emocj has not been adopted as a formal standard by Unicode or other
