Elpusztítása

Elpusztítása (literally "its destruction" in Hungarian) refers to the concept of the complete annihilation or eradication of a species, ecosystem, or cultural heritage, often due to human activities. The term is frequently used in ecological and conservation contexts to describe the irreversible loss of biodiversity. When applied to species, it signifies their extinction, meaning no individuals of that species remain alive anywhere on Earth.

The causes of elpusztítása can vary widely, including habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, overhunting, and invasive species. Human development, such as deforestation for agriculture or urban expansion, is a major driver of species loss. For example, the clearing of rainforests for palm oil plantations has contributed to the decline of numerous animal and plant species.
