Elektronipitoinen

Elektronipitoinen is a Finnish term that translates to "electron-rich" in English. It is primarily used in chemistry to describe a molecule, atom, or region within a molecule that possesses a high electron density. This high electron density can arise from the presence of lone pairs of electrons, pi bonds, or electronegative atoms that donate electron density.

In chemical reactions, electron-rich species often act as nucleophiles.
