Eestvedajate

Eestvedajate, also known as the Estonian Order of the Cross of the Sword, is a chivalric order in Estonia. It was established in 1920 by the Estonian government to recognize and reward individuals who have made significant contributions to the defense and security of Estonia. The order is named after the Estonian national symbol, the Cross of the Sword, which is depicted on the order's insignia.

The Estonian Order of the Cross of the Sword is divided into three classes: the Grand Cross, the First Class, and the Second Class. Each class has its own insignia and is awarded based on the severity and nature of the service rendered. The Grand Cross is the highest rank and is awarded for exceptional service, while the Second Class is the lowest and is awarded for lesser acts of service.

The order is awarded to both Estonian citizens and foreign nationals who have contributed to Estonia's defense and security. The recipients are selected by the Estonian government and are presented with the order's insignia by the President of Estonia.
