Edasikaebus
Edasikaebus is a genus of extinct marine arthropods known from fossil specimens described from middle Paleozoic rock formations. The genus currently contains a single named species, Edasikaebus montanus, based on fragmentary exoskeletal remains that include a prominent shield-like carapace and a segmented thorax. The preserved material suggests a small to mid-sized creature, with an estimated body length of a few centimeters and a dorsoventrally flattened body adapted to life near the seafloor.
Taxonomy and classification of Edasikaebus remain unsettled. In some analyses it is placed within early crustacean
