EMGnervezetés, often abbreviated as EMG, refers to the process of measuring and interpreting the electrical activity produced by muscles. This technique is a fundamental tool in neurophysiology and plays a crucial role in diagnosing and understanding various neuromuscular disorders. The electrical signals generated by muscle fibers during contraction are detected by electrodes placed on the skin or, in some cases, inserted directly into the muscle. These electrodes are connected to an electromyograph, an electronic instrument that amplifies and records the electrical signals.
