EGEE
EGEE, which stands for Enabling Grids for E-sciencE, was a European project that aimed to build on existing grid technologies to enable the development of a service grid infrastructure. The project was funded by the European Commission and ran from 2004 to 2008. EGEE's primary goal was to provide a seamless, secure, and reliable infrastructure for the scientific community to share computing resources, data, and other services across different institutions and countries.
