Druckkopfen
Druckkopfen is a term that can refer to several things, primarily within the context of printing technology. Most commonly, it translates to "print head" in English. The print head is a crucial component of an inkjet printer responsible for applying ink to the paper. It contains a series of tiny nozzles that eject ink droplets in a precise pattern to form an image or text. There are two main types of print heads: thermal and piezoelectric. Thermal print heads heat the ink to create a vapor bubble, which then expels the ink droplet. Piezoelectric print heads use an electrical charge to deform a piezoelectric crystal, forcing ink out of the nozzle. The quality and resolution of a print are heavily dependent on the precision and capabilities of the print head.
In a broader sense, "Druckkopfen" can also be used colloquially to refer to the act of printing
