Dramatists
Dramatists are writers who create plays for performance on stage, radio, television, or other media. The term is often used interchangeably with playwright, though dramatist can emphasize the broader craft of constructing dramatic worlds and characters. Dramatists typically develop plots, scenes, dialogue, and stage directions, and they work with directors, actors, designers, and dramaturgs to shape how a work is realized in performance.
