Typical contexts: It is frequently used with verbs of change (The population grew dramatically), with performance-related descriptions (a dramatically staged scene), or to characterize tone (he paused dramatically before answering). It can also convey exaggeration or emphasis in journalism, analysis, and criticism.

Limitations: As an intensifier, dramatically can be overused or imprecise. Writers may prefer more exact language (significantly, substantially, sharply) when a precise degree of change is intended, in order to avoid vagueness.
