DoubleSided

Doublesided is an adjective used to describe anything that has two sides or faces. In common usage, it is often written as double-sided or two-sided, but some contexts, especially in branding or file naming, may use the concatenated form "doublesided." The concept is found across many domains, from physical objects to digital design.

In printing and publishing, double-sided printing (often called duplex printing) prints on both sides of a sheet, improving paper efficiency but requiring attention to bleed, margins, and binding orientation. In graphic design, double-sided materials such as business cards, brochures, and signs enable different information on each side or a reversible display.

In hardware and manufacturing, double-sided describes items with two functional surfaces. For example, double-sided tape has adhesive on both sides, allowing temporary mounting or bonding without extra fasteners. Double-sided circuit boards, or two-sided PCBs, have copper traces on both sides to increase circuit density.

In packaging and labeling, double-sided elements can display information to the consumer from multiple angles or in different contexts. In data storage and media historically, double-sided disks and tapes used two writing surfaces; most modern formats have moved toward single-sided or multi-layer designs.
